Last Men Standing
2015 Mid-Atlantic District Quartet Champion
Purveyors of Straight-Up, Lock-And-Ring Barbershop Harmony
We are members of a fiercely competitive and close-knit brotherhood of men, bound by a common passion, a singular purpose. Some do
it for fun, others do it for glory. But all of us unite in worship at the altar of the dominant 7th chord. We bring the humblest
of offerings: four human voices, pure and untainted by the affects of instrumentation or engineering. The stairwell is our chapel, the lobby our church, the stage our cathedral. In these most hallowed grounds, we relentlessly pursue our ultimate reward: the achievement of the perfect overtone, that majestic, blessed lock and ring that reminds the soul what it truly means to be alive. We are driven to greatness, not by the promise of fame or adulation, but by the satisfaction derived from the knowledge that, when the curtain falls and the heat of competition has lifted...when the audience has departed, and the resounding echo of the final, glorious tag has decayed into the blossoming light of dawn, we will be...the Last Men Standing.
